Privacy Policy

1. The short version
Vidsay collects nothing. We run no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no tracking. Everything you record stays on your own device.
2. Web app (vidsay.pages.dev)
Recording happens entirely in your browser using built-in web APIs. Your videos are saved as files on your device (or in your browser's local storage for the library page). Nothing is uploaded to us or to any third party — there is nowhere for it to go, because we operate no backend.
3. Chrome extension (Vidsay — Free Screen Recorder)
The extension records the current browser tab and optionally your microphone, then downloads the video file to your device. It requests only the permissions it needs:
- tabCapture — to capture the current tab's video and audio while you record. Used only when you press Start.
- downloads — to save the finished recording (.webm) to your device.
- storage — to remember your settings (e.g. mic on/off) on your device.
The extension transmits nothing anywhere. Recordings never leave your computer.
4. Third parties
We embed no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts on this site.
